College Football Playoff Fans Can Earn Exclusive Rewards with CFP Social Passport: Tampa Bay

TAMPA, FL - The College Football Playoff (CFP) and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission have partnered with Thuzi, an interactive digital agency headquartered in Tampa, to create CFP Social Passport: Tampa Bay. This unique social rewards program incentivizes fans to participate in various CFP activities and share their interactions on social media platforms, amplifying their experience on each social network.

By engaging on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, fans can earn points and badges for each activity, and then redeem them for exclusive CFP gear such as commemorative lapel pins, t-shirts, hats, footballs and more. Additionally, for every 7,500 points earned, fans will be eligible to participate in a scan-to-win contest for the ultimate social reward – a pair of tickets to the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship at Raymond James Stadium on Jan. 9.

Those who participate in CFP Social Passport: Tampa Bay will also receive access to exclusive content including photo overlays, an interactive Championship Campus map, and a lightshow that allows fans to showcase their team pride while lighting up the night sky at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! Plus, fans will enjoy local deals and discounts at some of Tampa Bay’s favorite restaurants, and can even request an Uber ride directly through the app.

“This program allows us to connect with fans in meaningful ways as they move throughout the Championship Campus,” said Rob Higgins, Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission. “It’s a win-win for fans, the Tampa Bay community and event organizers.”

Fans can begin earning points today by downloading the free app in the App Store or Google Play. RFID encoded wristbands can be collected at various locations throughout Championship Campus, and will enable fans to check-in at designated CFP activations. Fans can redeem points for prizes as well as enter the scan-to-win contest at Social Village, located at MacDill Park on the Tampa Riverwalk, from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8.
