Yacht Village FAQ

  1. Where is the marina located?

    • The marina is located directly behind the Tampa Convention Center (TCC). The TCC address is 333 S Franklin Street Tampa, FL 33602.
  2. How long can I dock my boat for?

    • Vessels can arrive no earlier than Tuesday, January 3, 2017 and must remove their vessel by Tuesday, January 10, 2017. All vessels must be in their slips by 3 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017.
  3. How much does it cost to reserve a slip?

    • The Victory Partner package is priced at $15,000.
  4. What is included in the package?

    • The Victory Partner benefits include 8 Lower Level Game Tickets including Championship Tailgate access, 2 Premium Game parking passes, 8 Playoff Fan Central Tickets, 8 Championship Yacht VIllage credentials including to on-site Championship Yacht Village Hospitality Suite, and the right to purchase additional tickets at commensurate pricing.
  5. What are the Championship Yacht Village Hospitality hours of operation?

    • Friday, January 6: 5:00pm - 7:00pm
    • Saturday, January 7: 11:00am - 12:30pm; 5:00pm - 7:00pm
    • Sunday, January 8: 11:00am - 12:30pm; 5:00pm - 7:00pm
  6. What size boats are allowed?

    • Vessel sizes can be no smaller than 40” and no larger than 150”.
  7. When is my payment due by?

    • To reserve your Championship Yacht Village spot, all payments must be paid in full by Monday, November 14, 2016.
  8. How do I pay for my slip?

    • Payment must be by check or money order, made out to the Tampa Bay Sports Commission. No credit cards are accepted. All payments should be mailed to Claire Lessinger at 401 E. Jackson Street Suite 2100 Tampa, FL 33602.
  9. How do I reserve my slip?

    • Due to a high volume of inquiries and a limited number of available boat slips, all boat slip rentals during Championship Yacht Village will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. A waitlist will be maintained. In the event a rented slip is released back into inventory, we will assign the returned slip to the next registered applicant on the waitlist.
  10. Is there a waitlist?

    • Yes, a waitlist will be created once all slips have been filled. To be added to the waitlist, vessel owners can submit their paperwork. Upon notification of slip assignment you will have three (3) business days to confirm acceptance and pay in full for the slip. If you do not make payment within three (3) business days of notification of slip assignment, your slip will be offered to the next person on the waiting list and your name will be removed from the waiting list.
  11. When is my paperwork due?

    • All documents must be completed and sent to Claire Lessinger by Friday, December 9, 2016. These documents include the Rules and Regulations and Slip License Agreement, including your Certificate of Insurance.
  12. Are there pump out services available?

    • There will be a sanitation service boat available during certain hours of the event. The contact information and the available service schedule will be provided prior to arrival.
  13. Will I be able to refuel my vessel at the marina?

    • No, there will be no fueling service available in the Championship Yacht Village Marina.
  14. Can I get deliveries to my yacht?

    • Prior notification to the Championship Yacht Village Marina must given and all deliveries are subject to approval. Please contact CLessinger@visittampabay.com with your request.
  15. Can I get extra security for my vessel?

    • Yes, if you would like to have private security of your vessel, in addition to the 24-hour Championship Yacht Village dock security, please contact CLessinger@visittampabay.com. Please note, additional security fees will be applied and are not included in any of the Championship Yacht Village packages.
  16. I have guests coming to my vessel, where do they park?

    • There will be no parking provided for Championship Yacht Village guests. Parking can be found in the accompanying areas located throughout Championship Campus.
  17. I have guests coming to my vessel, how do I get more wristbands?

    • The number of wristbands provided per vessel will be based upon the Coast Guard capacity rating for that vessel. The capacity can be found on the vessel’s capacity plate. Please be sure to provide this number in order to receive maximum number of wristbands.
  18. I want to have food catered, how do I order?

  19. I own a company, can I promote my business on my vessel?

    • No commercial business/group of any kind may operate from the Championship Yacht Village Marina/docking facility unless approved by city ordinance. The Championship Yacht Village reserves the right to remove any non-approved signage from a vessel or Championship Yacht Village slip/space without notice to the vessel owner.
  20. Can I cancel my slip reservation?

    • There are no refunds for cancellations and no subletting of slips.
  21. Are there any prohibited items in Championship Yacht Village?

    • The list of prohibited items are: fireworks, firearms, weapons, lawn furniture and folding chairs, scaffolding, ladders, stepstool or other structures, bicycles, scooters, skates, skateboards, rollerblades, motorcycles, golf carts or off-road vehicles.
